Sunscreen is a cream or lotion that provides protection from the effects of ultraviolet radiation from the sun.
The sunscreen consist of UV filters in a diluted basis, which may be an oil or an emulsion (cream or lotion). An aqueous emulsion provides a greater depth of product on the skin, it is not greasy to the touch thanks to this cream.
The sunscreen should block both UVA and UVB. UVB (and to a lesser extent UVA) can cause sunburn and cancer.
The sunscreen apply to the beaches during the summer or on the ski slopes.
The sunscreen usually contains other ingredients such as preservatives, emulsion stabilizing agents, anti-free radicals such as vitamin E or vitamin C for example.
But what is recommended is to apply sunscreen or oil 20 minutes before sun exposure and reapply.
